A mix between reality and fiction will be told this Wednesday, December 13th in Plazuela Machado next to the portico of the Ángela Peralta Theater, in the latest edition of Dialogues of our History of 2023, And Mazatlecan writer Aramís Franco will present his book “La Fragata”.
This Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., the writer and teacher Aramís Franco will talk about the French Intervention in Mazatlán that he addresses in his first novel published in 2023 by the publishing house of the Sinaloan Instituto de Cultura.
In 1864 the frigate La Cordelière attacked the port of Mazatlán, in an attempt to take the place to continue the French invasion of Mexican lands.
In “La Fragata”, the young writer follows three men who are shipwrecked between the most absolute desperation, the weight of duty and the hunger for redemption; three stories that emphasize that every identity has its accent in the drama of one’s own life.
The author is a writer, screenwriter and film director, born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa; In the last decade he has been immersed in the development of different short films and film scripts, obtaining distinctions at the regional level. He is also a professor at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa.
