Committed to Carnaval Internacional de Mazatlán and the Mazatlecans, this is the royal couturier Luis Antonio Ríos González, known as “Momo”, who for the fourth consecutive year will make royal costumes, this time, he will dress the King of Joy, the Prince, the Marquis and the Duke. They will be epic, classic, novel and magical costumes.

For the “Eclipse Baroque” edition, the inspiration came through baroque literature. “Momo” shares that he will dress the King of Joy in an outfit similar to that of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the author of the work “The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha.”

“It is a costume that will have details because it is a commitment that I have with the kings, they are working on the aesthetics, in different colors, last year it was a period work so this year we return to it and emphasize the period of Cervantes,” he exclaimed.

The royal couturier trusts in his talent and ability, and in the great support of his team, so he envisions a majestic work that will surprise, all with the style that characterizes Momo Artistic Creations.

“The costume is practically a corset, it has mayonnaise, baggy shorts and a short cape, that’s how it was planned, and the crown is a hat. The crown is designed to be of the period, it is in sober colors, but at the same time the embroidery will make it cheerful, it is a costume that we are lovingly making for Mazatán, it is a different version of what you know about me, but I feel “That people are going to like it, because it is our commitment to Mazatlán, because we do it with love for the Mazatlecan people,” confessed Luis Antonio Ríos.

Some of the visual details with which the costumes will be adorned are the traditional beads, sequins, Swarovski stones, Czechoslovakian materials, beads, perlones, rice, pearl gourds, shangtung, taffeta, among other elements and blue and orange will predominate in the outfit for the king weighing approximately 20 kilograms.

Knowing the history of Carnaval, Momo points out that the theme “Baroque Eclipse” is rich, it is harmonious, so they have a lot of imaginary material to provide a phenomenal product.

Grateful for each of the opportunities received by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, Luis Antonio “Momo” Ríos, stated that this year he will give to Carnaval, something with which his brand will be remembered. .

“I want to make history in the Carnaval, in some way or another so that people remember that I gave myself, and the time I gave myself, I feel that that would be my dream, everyone has their moment, and my moment is that of the kings”, he concluded.
