For four years “La Carpa” has consolidated itself in the State and the Republic as a different, unique show, where to the rhythm of dance, contemporary music, poetry, theater and clowning, they have been marked as a special number. It will be this Sunday, 28 April, when they arrives at the Port and are presented free of charge at 6 pm on the esplanade of Plaza Republica.
This edition “La Carpa” will be part of Spring Season 2019, an event organized by the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan, with the participation of artists from Spain, Italy, Costa Rica, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and from different states of Mexico.
The 2019 edition is aimed at all audiences, focusing on children, since storytelling will be the star in the afternoon, and will have the support of contemporary dancers, who will strengthen the narratives of the performers.
The show has been established and positioned as one of the most important events in the country, which promotes the visibility of emerging international and national artists. It has strengthened the collaboration networks between Mexico and other countries in South America, Central America and Europe, also is linked to festivals and national and international promotion platforms in contemporary dance.
In addition to being a visual and sound show, La Carpa has its side of social retribution, benefiting from free classes to students of the “Octavio Paz” Secondary School in Villa Union, next May 2, as well as a body awareness class in the the Immaculate Home for the Elderly.
