Starting at 7:00 p.m., as every Saturday, the municipal cinema will be in operation, to conclude the cycle: Reflections on childhood, the film “The Hunt” by the prestigious Danish director Thomas Vinterberg will be screened.

The story follows Lucas (Mads Mikkelsen), a respected man within his society, until he is wrongly accused by Klara (Annika Wedderkopp) of child abuse, which generates hysteria and mass chaos. Desperate, Lucas waged a lost battle to claim his dignity in a city that would rather see an innocent man crucified than admit his mistake.

Thomas Vinterberg tackles a complex subject in a sophisticated and intelligent way with a very successful execution. One tries to empathize with Lucas, because we know his innocence, but how can he not believe a girl in this situation? Guilty without verifying innocence.

The film is shown in its original language, Danish, with subtitles in Spanish, at Casa Haas, free admission with limited space.
