This morning a press conference was held at Casa Haas in which the details of the “International Ballet Gala” were released, an event that seeks to strengthen the artistic training of children and young people.
The conference was led by: José Ángel Tostado, Office Manager of the General Directorate of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan; Zoila Fernández, Artistic Director of Cultura; Roberto Rodríguez, General Director of DIF Mazatlán; Cuauhtémoc Nájera, Director of the National Dance Company and organizer of this event, and by Carolina Ríos, Event Coordinator.
The Director of Carolina Ríos Ballet said that the “International Ballet Gala” will bring together talented artists and proven quality academic projects on Sunday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Angela Peralta Theater: the Superior School of Music and Dance of Monterrey, the Cordobés School of Artistic Talent (Veracruz) and the special participation of the opera singer Daniela Rico.
The “International Ballet Gala” program will be a tour of some of the most iconic ballets in the international repertoire, as well as contemporary choreographies: the “Pas de deux of the IV Kitri and Basilio Act” from “Don Quijote”; the “Pas de deux of the White Swan”, from “Swan Lake”; “Planimetry of the movement”, by Daniela Marcano and a choreography by Josué Rebollo inspired by “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, among other pieces.
Maestro Nájera highlighted the effort that the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan has made for this special function that seeks to bring children closer to culture and aspire that, in the future, great dance talents can emerge here.
For his part, Roberto Rodríguez, recalled that the Administration of Mayor Benítez Torres has dedicated himself to betting on empowering the most vulnerable communities, and for this reason the total of the box office collected will be distributed in associations such as DIF, Rancho de los Niños and A Drop in the Ocean.
Finally, maestra Zoila Fernández stressed that the doors of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan are open to projects with cause that seek to emphasize the human values that art and culture promote.
Tickets for “International Ballet Gala” have a cost of $500, 450, 400 and 350 and can be obtained at the ticket office of the Angela Peralta Theater and can be obtained from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. The ticket office for this event is for the benefit of the Mazatlan Municipal DIF System.
