The companies Rara Avis, Pasilllo XIII, Articular Danza, Rebeca Maldonado and Kathia Franco, flowed through the show “Young Talent” presented last Wednesday night at the Ángela Peralta Theater as part of of the International Dance Festival “José Limón”.

Rebeca Maldonado and Kathia Franco welcomed with the work “If I fall, will I fly? “, a piece in which its interpreters experience emotional states of breakdown and recovery. The work played with symbolism such as the image of an angel. “Break in”, “duality”, “purpose” and “beginning” are some of the different concepts that this proposal addressed.

Pasillo XIII with their piece “They have given us the Earth” performed by Luis Bryant López Gaytán, María Fernanda Leal Rodríguez, María Fernanda Madueño Ponce and Nayla Daniela Ibarra Cabrera, raises a reflection on the wonders of the earth as an element, its secrets, for what is it useful for, and how, in turn, it has been an underappreciated place to live, to live from it.

RARA AVIS, with the piece “Tiempos Violetas”, brought Elena Suárez Guevara and Vanya Saavedra Martínez to the stage to tell the story of two captive flowers in a routine that overprotects them, and alludes to problems and situations that women continue to face.

Finally, the Articular Danza company captivated the public with the work “Escorzo” performed by Ana Karen Duarte, Alexia Daniela Bastidas and Erika Benítez. The work is a stage action that leads the bodily discourse towards encounters and paths that show perception and sensitive thought, the internal points that are transformed into expression needs.

At the end of the show, the performers dedicated a minute of silence to honor the memory of Max Corrales, a graduate of the Mazatlán Professional Dance School and a member of the Sinaloa Youth Dance Company, who was recently assassinated.
