The Cinema of the Municipal Center for the Arts continues with the screening of art films. This Saturday, April 29th, the Swedish film “Fresas Salvajes” arrives, with a script and direction by Ingmar Bergman that in 1958 received the prestigious Golden Bear from the Berlin Film Festival, as well as the Golden Globe for best non-English language film in 1959.

The function will begin at 6:00 p.m., free access, limited space and the doors will open 20 minutes before the screening, entering through the CMA entrance on Carnaval street without a number, on Plazuela Machado. The film is projected in its Original language, Swedish with Spanish subtitles.

“Wild Strawberries” is a simple story, it is a peculiar and beautiful “road movie”, the protagonist is Isak Borg (Victor Sjöstrom), a 78-year-old veteran and famous doctor who is told that he is going to be named Doctor Honoris Causa in Lund Cathedral for his 50 years of dedicated work and research in medicine.

That same night he suffers a premonitory dream in which, walking through the lonely streets of a city, he witnesses the passage of a hearse that, after a strong crash, drops a coffin in which he sees his own body, a premonition of his death. that will push you to reflect and prepare for the end.

Ingmar Bergman gives us a complex story, but at the same time universal in scope, tragic, but with touches of humor, hard and forceful in some passages, but tender and innocent in others, a story, a journey that captivates us from beginning to end. through oneiric and exquisite shots, unforgettable sequences and a masterful direction of actors.
