This Tuesday, September 12th at 5:00 p.m. at Casa Haas, the presentation of the story Las familias del vecindario by Diana Patricia Pineda will take place.
The author is a primary school teacher and through this book and its main character, Serafin the cat, brings to light the different families that exist in society.
The story illustrated by Nolari Uribe gives visibility to reconstructed families, families that adopt children, families without children, grandparents without children raising grandchildren, homoparental families, extended families, etc.
The author highlights that through this story people can realize that all families are different but equally important and that not all have to be the same.
The book educates older people and teaches them to respect and not be prejudiced against this diversity of families.
Admission to the book presentation is free. Limited availability.
