Soloists from the Ángela Peralta Choir and the Guillermo Sarabia Choir provided surprising interpretations of authors such as Agustín Lara, Mario Talavera, María Grever, Manuel M. Ponce, Pedro Flores and José Alfredo Jimenez, with the accompaniment of maestro Sergio Castellanos at the piano, during the ‘México Romántico’ concert.

Maestra María Murillo was very grateful for the response of the audience, which filled Casa Haas and contributed to the acquisition of her ticket to benefit the Library of the Municipal Arts Center.

For some performers, ‘México Romántico’ represented their first performance as soloists.

In this regard, maestra Murillo commented that these types of presentations are an opportunity for new values to gain exposure and thus make the public aware of the new voices that are taking singing classes.

She emphasized that not all the members of the Ángela Peralta Choir are professionals, but they dedicate a lot of time to the choir to prepare, to take classes, to study and that is a source of great pride for her, because they all do things as they should be done.

Maestra Murillo invited people over 15 years of age interested in being part of the Ángela Peralta Choir to join, because they are welcome at the Municipal Arts Center.

During the ‘México Romántico’ concert, the following participated: Juan Manuel Vázquez (bass), Vanessa Gama (soprano), Rosa Delia Guevara (mezzo-soprano), Juan Manuel Piña (tenor), Adrián Guízar (countertenor), Yolanda Lizárraga (mezzo-soprano), Ángela Rodriguez (mezzo-soprano), Guadalupe Ortuño (Soprano) and Sheyli Batzin (soprano).

They all gave themselves to the audience through the interpretation of each of the pieces that were sung, accepted and applauded emotionally; Some of the songs performed were: Communiqué No. 531
