The bel canto repertoire created by great musical geniuses such as Mozart, Rossini and Donizetti, will shine in the voice of mezzo-soprano Rosa Ferreiro, semifinalist of the “Carlo Morelli 2023” National Singing Contest and baritone Rodolfo Ituarte during the concert “Viva il bel canto”, on Wednesday, October 4th at 7:00 p.m. at Casa Haas.

The protagonists are originally from Tijuana, Baja California, musically trained at the Municipal Center for the Arts of the Mazatlán Instituto de Cultura, and since their arrival they have perfected their voices, stage performance and repertoire at the CULTURA Opera Workshop directed by Maestro Enrique Patrón de Rueda, and maestra Martha Félix.

Rosa Ferreiro will take advantage of this opportunity to demonstrate her talent in her new home, Mazatlán, a venue that has given her great satisfaction and new challenges in the artistic world.

“I am very excited to be able to present myself again at Casa Haas together with very dear people. We will mostly carry a bel canto repertoire, that is the main reason for the name of the concert, addressing Mozart, Rossini and Donizetti, there will be arias and opera duets, and it is a benefit to be able to go to the Latin American Lyrical Singing contest of Radio Filarmonía, XI edition in Peru”, he exclaimed.

During the concert, the artists will be accompanied by maestro Juan Pablo García, currently Pianist and Vocal Coach at the CULTURA Mazatlán Opera Workshop. He has received advice in master classes with the maestros: Elena Camarena María Teresa Rodríguez, Jorge Federico Osorio and Héctor Rojas (Mexico), Ludovica Mosca (Paris / Italy), Gergely Bogányi (Hungary).

Tickets cost $200 pesos and are on sale at the Ángela Peralta Theater box office, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or through the digital box office 669 120 00 20.
