The opera “Le Villi” will be a great success, it will be a job of like 20, it will be excellent due to the great passion that musicians, dancers and staff have shown in the rehearsals of this great production of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023, predicted maestro Sergio Freeman, Guest Director in this staging.

The story of love and abandonment with an unexpected ending will be a musical and visual delight with the performance of more than 100 artists on stage, including musicians from the orchestra, choir, soloists and classical ballet dancers.

It will be on Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th, at exactly 8:00 p.m. when the curtain rises at the Ángela Peralta Theater to witness the premiere in the port of the first opera written by the famous Italian composer Giacomo Puccini (Italy 1858- Belgium 1924).

Musicians from the Camerata Mazatlán, the Guillermo Sarabia Choir, directed by maestra Martha Félix and maestro Enrique Patrón de Rueda, participate; Soprano Rebeca de Rueda; Tenor Alejandro Yépez; Bass – Baritone José Miguel Lora and the Mazatlán Ballet Company directed by maestra Zoila Fernández Fernández.

It will be a work of like 20, it will be excellent, and in addition the Puccini Gala will be offered beforehand, with the performance of Tenor Andrés Carrillo and soprano Yamel Domort, added maestro Sergio Freeman.

We are going to present several arias by Puccini, they are themes from almost all of his operas, they are arias from each one, so the public is going to hear a varied program and it will be a great show, he assured.

Tenor Andrés Carrillo and the Soprano Yamel Domort have a strong bond with Puerto Mazatlán, a place where they have strengthened their artistic training and that preparation has led them to be on large stages such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes or to have leading roles in operas presented in various parts of the continent.

Grateful for the opportunity given to him by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán to direct the second major event of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023, Sergio Freeman invites the public to attend to appreciate this first-world spectacle.
