In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Delfos Danza Contemporánea Company

“Paisajes Insondables”, by the Delfos Danza Contemporánea Company, is presented this Saturday, November 4th, at the Ángela Peralta Theater in one of the Great Events of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023.

A thirty year artistic career is worthy of recognition and to celebrate in style in Mazatlán, the city that for 25 years has sheltered the dreams of Delfos, the co-directors and dancers of the prestigious company will perform the works ‘Óxido’ and ‘Mínimal’, a program praised during its presentation at the Palacio de Bellas Artes last July.

‘Óxido’, the creation of choreographer Claudia Lavista, is a stage reflection on the capacity of human beings to transform what is apparently decadent into a possibility of new life. The piece flows from the music of Mario Lavista and live music. It will be borne by SAFA Percussion Ensemble; the set design, costumes and lighting design are by visual artist Aurelio Palomino.

On stage will be dancers Xitlali Piña, Johnny Millán, Surasí Lavalle and Vanya Saavedra.

‘Minimal’, a choreography by Víctor Manuel Ruiz, with music by Steve Reich, experiences the traditions of Sinaloa through a contemporary version of the “Deer Dance” as a starting point to conceive a metamorphosis between the dancer who transforms into a wild animal and the current furious extrahuman, who survived permanent confinement due to the COVID 19 pandemic, within the large metropolises and their nature deficit.

Xitlali Piña, Johnny Millán, Luisa Escobosa and Rodrigo Agraz participate in this piece, accompanied by guest dancers Marco Gómez, Alexandra Elenes, Katia Rivera and Vanya Saavedra.

Tickets $150 pesos in the Third Balcony, $200 in the Second Balcony, $250 in the First Balcony and 300 pesos in the Orchestra area, available at the TAP box office, telephone 669 982 44 46 ext. 103 or at the digital box office through the WhatsApp application at 669 120 0020.
