This Saturday, January 20th, Carnaval Internacional Mazatlán will have two new queens because starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Theater the Queen Election contest will be held.
Motivated by the encouragement of the cheers and the support of family and friends, ten beautiful women will parade down the catwalk and try to give the best of themselves during the contest in which the jury will rate them in two stages: criteria and beauty.
Competing for the coveted crown: Jasaret Álvarez, Aspasia Cárdenas, Irene Rojas, Georgina Vázquez, Rubí Mondragón, Samantha Espinosa, Andrea García, Catalina Castellanos, Carolina Ruelas and Siu Ling Cotero.
The election will be coordinated by the Instituto de Cultura through the Public Relations Directorate, in the presence of two representatives accredited by the candidates and a notary who will attest to the results. The jury’s decision will be final. In the event of a tie, the president of the Jury has the power to choose the winners by voice.
As soon as CULTURA verifies the result of the vote, its General Director will make it public and will proceed to officially declare Queen of the Carnaval to the candidate who obtained first place in the vote and Queen of the Floral Games to the candidate who obtained second place. The following candidates will be named Princesses.
