The Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2021 carried out by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte continues to present high-quality shows. Under the direction of master Enrique Patrón de Rueda and Martha Félix, this October 15th and 17th, the opera “Elixir de Amor” will arrive at the Angela Peralta Theater.
An Opera Buffa that tells the love story of “Nemorino”, a young peasant, and “Adina”, a rich, beautiful and capricious farmer. However, the lovers must overcome the opposition of “Doctor Dulcamara”, a skilled charlatan who offers “Nemorino” a bottle of a magical liquor capable of remedying all ills and consummating their romance.
This staging that has already been presented previously at the TAP will feature on this occasion with the participation of the Cultural Opera Workshop, the Folkloric Ballet directed by maestro Javier Arcadia, The Angela Peralta Theater Orchestra under the direction of maestro Sergio Freeman, members of the Guillermo Sarabia Choir, the pianist Juan Pablo García and a special performance by César Delgado.
The performances will take place on Friday, the 15th at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m., tickets are already on sale at the Theater box office at a cost of $200 pesos orchestra, $150 first and second balcony, and $100 pesos third balcony.
