Painter Arturo de la Vega Osuna, winner in 2011 of the second place of the “Antonio López Sáenz” Visual Arts Award, will present “Los Ovnis de Mazatlán, Sinaloa” this Tuesday at the Rubio Gallery.
In the words of the artist, this collection consisting of 73 works, is based on some testimonies of people who say they saw space ships leave the water near one of Mazatlan´s icons: the three Islands.
With this work, De La Vega Osuna wants to record that there is life beyond this planet, that we are not alone in this time and space, but above all, that we should not be frightened by this type of events.
“The UFOs of Mazatlán, Sinaloa” is part of Spring Season 2019 organized by the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan, a program that among its objectives includes promoting the creations of local artists.
“The UFOs of Mazatlan, Sinaloa” will remain in the Rubio Gallery from April 23 to 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
