Spring Season 2019 organized, and promoted by the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan, will present the opera Madame Butterfly at the Angela Peralta Theater this May 28 and 29, which for the first time in the history of the Port will be presented with artists trained in the classrooms of the Municipal Arts Center.
At a press conference held at Casa Haas, maestro Enrique Patrón de Rueda, said that the self-sufficient staging they are generating, surely is not even in any other city in Mexico, and perhaps there are few metropolises in the world that can boast a similar situation, since the soloists, the choir, the orchestra and the production, are all local talent.
The soloists who will be in the Opera are María Herrada, Alejandro Yepes, Alejandro Pacheco, Daniela Cortez, Mariela Angulo, Eduardo Tapia, Miguel Valenzuela, José Lora, Mario Canela and Rodolfo Ituarte, who will interpret the different roles, in a work adapted for, children, youth, and public, and which does not lose its lines or charm despite the reduction of time.
Madame Butterfly will present for two days at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, where tickets to access the functions will be available in the DIF Mazatlan System offices, who will distribute them in vulnerable neighborhoods and to the elderly and disabled.
To the delight of the general public on Monday, May 27, there will be access the shows in established hours, information that will be released in the coming days.
Prior to giving this announcement, Maestro Enrique Patrón de Rueda, who was also at the press conference, clarified some rumors that had been raised regarding taking direction of the Camerata Mazatlán, stating that he will definitely not take over this musical group, but will be at the front only to conclude projects already started, hoping that soon a new Director will be named.
