The Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2020 carried out by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte and directed by José Ángel Tostado Quevedo continues to promote art through large events, including this Wednesday, November 25, the great musical show “El Cello en el Jazz”.

Although the cello has not enjoyed the popularity of the violin and double bass in Jazz, since the early 1950s, several leading musicians have tried to give the cello a place in this musical genre.

Orlando Idróvo (cello), Maximiliano Torres (double bass), José Miguel Rivera (piano) and Héctor Omar Estavillo (drums), experienced musicians who are members of the Camerata Mazatlán, combine their talent and love for music to create this promising show.

“El Cello en el Jazz” will take place at the Angela Peralta Theater at 8:00 p.m., the tickets are $200 pesos in general, tickets can be obtained at the Theater box office from Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 7 pm, and on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. More information at: 982 4446 x103.
