The Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2020 continues this Friday and Saturday with the participation of the Delta Teatro company in two events that will be broadcast on the Facebook page, Cultura TV.
First, on Friday at 6:00 in the afternoon, the “Puppet Workshop” is presented, a training led by Alejandro López and Pablo Gastelum, members of Delta Teatro, who will offer an introduction to the fascinating making of puppets.
Those interested in this workshop will work from the comfort of their homes using homemade materials (scissors, paint, brushes, paste, etc.) around three techniques: glove puppets, shadow puppets and foam rubber puppets.
Later, on Saturday at 7:00 in the afternoon, the program “Theater for young people: Animated Rock Monograph” will be broadcast, an opportunity for the younger generations who love rock and roll to meet the great legends of this genre in a novel way.
John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Freddy Mercury, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Linda Perry and other musicians will perform as life-size puppets in a series of video clips in which they will perform the songs that have given them a privileged place in rock history thanks to the magic of the puppet theater.
In this way, Delta Teatro will carry out two important functions for the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2020 of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán.
