If you want to delve into the fascinating world of theater and acquire knowledge of acting, creating, writing and producing pieces, the Municipal Center for the Arts invites you to audition this June 10th and 17th at 10:00 a.m. to study a Technician in Theater Art career, or enter the Theater Workshop of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán.

Ramón Gómez Polo, head of the CMA Theater School that belongs to the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, explained that the objective of the career is to train competitive artists on the national stage, capable of promoting a solid theatrical movement through their acting performance and their creative work.

Some graduates of the CMA municipal theater school are: Yoshira Escárrega, Ana Paola Loaiza, Pablo Lyle, María Chacón, Hannia Natzahaya, Melanie Raygoza, among other professionals who have participated in productions by Netflix, Disney, Fox, Televisa and other companies. theater nationals.

Gómez Polo commented that the auditions are to form the groups for the next school year that begins in August and those who demonstrate that they have a talent for acting will begin their training with a study plan endorsed by the SEPyC, and will have very enriching experiences during their artistic formation.

The auditions will be held in the Foro Experimental Hall inside the CMA located on Carnaval street, without number, on Plazuela Machado in the Centro neighborhood, and those who are interested must meet a series of requirements.

Those interested must have finished high school or be close to completing it, fill out an admission application that can be requested at the facilities, pay the audition fee, present copies of the birth certificate, CURP, high school certificate or equivalent, and submit two blank photos. and black child size.

The audition consists of a personal interview, acting, voice and body expression tests and it is necessary to attend with comfortable work clothes. Those who pass the previous filter will be given a series of requirements to formalize the registration.

The Technical Career in Theater Art lasts six semesters and upon completion, graduates receive an official certificate from the SEPyC as a Theater Art Technician. Those who graduate from the Theater Workshop participate in projects for the experimental forum and generate proposals for the public.
