Another great artistic activity of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2020 and Profest took place this Saturday at the Angela Peralta Theater: the concert “Paisajes de Latinoamérica” (Latin American landscape).

This recital by the Northwest Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Víctor Manuel Osuna, offered a journey through the musical heritage of Latin America through pieces by Silvestre Revueltas, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Leo Brouwer and Arturo Márquez: “Ocho por radio”, “Guitar Concerto”, “Canciones remotas” and “Danzón No. 4”.

In each piece, the obóes, violins, cellos, trombone, double basses and percussions allowed the public to contemplate the sensitivity, creative vision and deep intuition of each composer to capture in their works some elements of the character and spirit of Mexico, Brazil and Cuba. and also, of an entire continent rich in cultural expressions.

As if that were not enough, the participation of maestro Atanacio Enriquez added the virtuous element in “Concierto de Guitarra”, a superb piece full of subtleties and a range of emotions.

The audience thanked the artists with their applause for this wonderful musical intervention that was part of the FCM 2020 activities of the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, directed by José Ángel Tostado.
