The musical quality and talent of the Mazatlan groups was revealed during the presentation of the concert “El Cello en el Jazz” where some musicians from the Camerata Mazatlán captivated the audience from beginning to end.

The show was part of one of the activities offered by the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2020, succesfully promoted by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Artedirected by Lic. José Ángel Tostado Quevedo.

The mixture of the characteristic rhythms of Jazz with the cello made the concert even more attractive. Drums, piano, double bass and cello, with these four instruments the musicians were able to perfectly combine the style of great freedom and rhythm of Jazz with the subtlety and romanticism of the cello.

Orlando Idrovo (cello), Maximiliano Torres (double bass), José Miguel Rivera (piano) and Héctor Omar Estavillo (drums) were the stars of the night, dedicated to their profession and love of music.

The repertoire was made up of “Baroque In Rhythm”, “Galop”, “Ballade”, “Romantique” and “Cello fan”.

The evening at the imposing Angela Peralta Theater was exciting, one more motivator to continue enjoying all the events of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2020.
