A tribute will be paid to the outstanding Mazatlan artist. Free admission.

With music, poetry and a photographic exhibition this Thursday, May 18th at 6:00 p.m. at Casa Haas, a tribute will be paid to the outstanding Mazatlan artist Fernando Valadés Lejarza, composer, pianist and a singer with a relevant career in the 50’s and 60’s.

Creative and prolific author Fernando Valadés composed more than 200 songs that, in addition to fame, made him the winner of several gold and silver records due to the high sales of his records.

His family shared that this Thursday during the tribute they will remember the artistic legacy of the brilliant Mazatlan native through poetry, a photographic exhibition and the interpretation of the songs that made him famous in Mexico, the United States and in several Latin American countries.

This Literary Thursday the public will enjoy listening to the songs: Asómate a mi Alma, Regalo del Cielo, Cántale al Mar and Como de que no, among other musical hits by the Mazatlan singer-songwriter that will be performed by Ramón Rojas, Ileana Osuna, Sócrates Figueroa and Christopher Boccard Valades.

The event will last two hours and public access is free, without a ticket, limited space in the old building located between Mariano Escobedo and Heriberto Frías streets, in the Historic Center of Mazatlán.
