Artwalk, el Camino del Arte 2023, is back. With the participation of almost 90 artisans and fine artists from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, the interior of the Republic, and foreigners, this Friday, November 3rd, at exactly 4:00 p.m., this artistic movement with roots in the port will begin.
Marysol Galván Pelayo, coordinator of Artwalk 2023, indicated that for this edition there will be improvements for participants, ranging from special days, and even extended hours for those who like to tour the galleries.
Traditionally this movement is carried out from November to April, taking place on the first Friday of each month, these being November 3, December 1, January 5, February 2, March 1, and April 5, for this edition Special days are added: December 15, January 19 and February 16.
“Another novelty is that there will be collective spaces for some artists who wanted to participate and did not have gallery rent, they were given the opportunity to participate in collective spaces such as the El Presidio restaurant, Patio Escobedo, the Sigma Museum and Venustiano Carranza Park.
“Before, between 29 and 30 venues participated, this time we are already at 40, and in terms of artists we are between 90 and 100,” said the organizer.
For this year there will be the participation and support of the Ministry of Tourism, an institution that will support the headquarters and host artisans, artists from the so-called “Pueblos Mágicos”, and “Pueblos Señoriales”.
The fine artist indicated that for this edition in the different galleries, local visitors, residents and tourists will be able to appreciate pictorial works, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, photography, drawing, textiles, among other pieces made in different techniques, sizes and colors.
